Martin M. Young

Founding Partner | Retired

Ohio Board Certified Workers’ Compensation Specialist And Personal Injury Attorney With 60 Years Experience.

Martin M. Young worked hard his entire life to set the highest standards of excellence.  He was the founder and senior partner of Young, Reverman & Bolotin’s predecessor firm, Young, Reverman & Mazzei Co., L.P.A.,  Martin is a graduate of Walnut Hills High School, the University of Cincinnati, and the University of Cincinnati College of Law.

Upon receiving his license to practice law in 1959, Martin joined his father, uncle, and brother to serve the Greater Cincinnati community.  Starting his own firm in 1972, he began the building process that resulted in the firm of Young, Reverman & Mazzei Co., L.P.A.  He achieved the substantial and rare professional and legal milestone of having practiced law for over 60 years.

As the firm grew, attorneys and staff were added.  Martin’s original paralegal remained with the firm for 45 years, retiring in 2019.  Many of his original clients continued to seek his assistance as did many of those clients’ family members and friends, proving that excellent service creates client loyalty and referrals.

Loyalty and longevity of staff and clients demonstrated Martin’s continuity of quality service and leadership.  Martin was also proud of the fact that his two partners had been with him for 32 and 37 years, respectively, and most of the firm’s attorneys had been with him for over 20 years.  Other staff members had been with the firm for 15 to 31 years.

As an active member of the American, Ohio State, and Cincinnati Bar Associations and the American and Ohio Associations for Justice, Martin provided service to his profession.  He is a past President of the Cincinnati Lawyer’s Club and past chairman of the Young Lawyers of Cincinnati.  He also served on committees of the Cincinnati and Ohio State Bar Associations.  Martin has published articles and has been featured as a guest columnist for the Cincinnati Enquirer and the Cincinnati Bar Association Report.

He was licensed to appear in all State and Federal courts in Ohio and the U.S. Supreme Court. Over the years, he developed an active and large worker’s compensation and personal injury practice. Martin was an Ohio State Bar Association board-certified workers’ compensation specialist.  He had been selected as an Ohio Super Lawyer and had met the standard of excellence for selection to Top 100 Trial Lawyers from the American Trial Lawyers Association since 2008.

Martin is a life-long resident of Cincinnati. He was married in 1963 to his wife, Judy, and they have three adult daughters and six grandchildren.  Judy served as the firm’s financial officer for over 35 years and his daughter and son-in-law also became members of the firm, continuing the family tradition of excellence.

Martin retired from the practice of law in 2023, but he remains active in his community and with the firm as a consultant and mentor.
