Coroner Identifies Victim of Youngstown Auto Crash

The Mahoning County Coroner’s Office identified the victim of a fatal Youngstown Auto Crash. The coroner released the victim’s name on Monday, May 24th. 41-year-old Nicholas Boerio died after he crashed his vehicle into a pillar.

The accident occurred on Sunday night, May 23rd, at about 9 p.m. A news report revealed that it happened at the intersection of Salt Springs Road and Division Street. The van Boerio traveled in collided with one of the pillars of the 711 overpass in the deadly Youngstown auto crash.

The Youngstown police said they have not identified what caused the accident, and the investigation is underway. The crash led to the closure of Salt Springs Road until Monday morning.

Motor vehicle accidents are a menace on Ohio roads. They are often the result of negligent acts of drivers and the basis for most personal injury claims. Some of the common causes of road traffic collisions are driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, speeding, or distracted driving.

Other common factors are road rage, running red lights or stop signs, tailgating, or illegal lane change. A car accident can be solo, involve two vehicles, or multiple vehicles. When it is a single-vehicle accident, the party involved will take care of medical bills and property damage repairs using their auto insurance policy.

The accident claim will be against the fault party’s insurance coverage when the accident involves two vehicles or multiple parties. When the responsible party does not have auto insurance, the victim will use their uninsured motorist coverage to foot their bills if they have one.

In the preceding instance, the victim can bring legal action to recover the amount spent from the fault driver. Find out more about the liability of fault parties and victims’ rights from our Ohio car accident lawyers.
